Revitalization of North Sydney Community

The Business Improvement and Development Association has embarked on a challenging and rewarding project that will have long term benefits to the community of North Sydney. It has long been desired by the downtown community to focus on a revitalization program that would contribute to the prosperity and growth of its economic sector. In September, 2001, after consultation with local interests, the BIDA began the Revitalization of Downtown North Sydney project. The focus and the driving force is the participation and the commitment of the community. The following is the progress update with the intention of gaining your interest and support for the initiatives that this project will generate.

Did You Know: By 1880, North Sydney had the service of a bank, jeweller, barbershop, tailor, and the first grocery store in Cape Breton.
